Arcana was meant to house magic related stuff, such as spells and spell engines. The original DOE run by Bill Burcham included as set of spell realms and spells.
Adam had created the Arcanix system while I had my own engine as well, kind of an Arcanix-Lite as Gregg has called it.
Lore was meant to hold stories and fables common to DOE, or simply stories that players had written, etc.
But time runs out. These never got developed as other interests such as having kids, writing novels, employment took over. C'est la vie.
If anybody out there is fluent with ASP, you're welcome to carry on the torch.
