Title: Not Mac compatible!

Bill -- yer site ain't Mac compatible! At least, it doesn't work with Safari very well....the "eye menu" in the banner won't accept my mouse clicks (nor does the eye move with my mouse), and all posts come up "expanded" (the little arrow that hides or shows a post is not there). For those of us who use Macs, it'd be nice if you at least made the menu in the banner work (...keeps me from having to hack your page source to dig out the URL to the Legends page, which is where I go all the time).

What is this "MAC" thing you speak of?

If you're using IE for MAC, give up now. It's not supported by MS. If you're using any other browser aside from IE6.0, well yer kinda screwed as none of them offer the AWESOME functionality of full on DHTML or DOM, which this site uses much of for character generation.

As I don't have time to do maintenance or compatability analysis, I would suggest finding somebody who has a "COMPUTER". And asking if you could use it.

Aha! IE on Mac works acceptably.

Here's another technical nitpick: I notice that you're (Bill) using a bogus email address in many of your posts. It looks like a few others are doing the same. If the hope is that this will shield you from spam or hide your identity, you're wasting your time as long as just one instance of your email addr exists in ANY post on the site (and it does, for everone I can see who's posted). A bot that spiders your site is going to suck down the whole site, and its going to compile a comprehensive list of addrs. A better tactic would be to require people to put in their "site" name (as different from their posted name) for each post and have a page that references site names to identifying information in a format that spiders can't rip (everyone who posts must then create a site name first, but this is trivial).

Good point, though so far I haven't noticed an influx of spam over the 4 years this sight has been up.

I can view most everything, though charsheets come up with some funky gibberish in places.
I can't input anything.
The eye does work for me.
'Course i got one of the last of the purist Macs without the Pentium chips and relatively recently (only because they hacked $300 off the price as soon as the Pents came online) So it's a new machine and pretty up to date. I use Mozilla Firefox.

I have had success using Firefox in 10.4 Tiger, and using the Camino browser from Mozilla on a 10.3.9 machine.
Camino doesn't seem to work from my laptop, however.
IE hoses everywhere.
Hope this helps.
Ben
I've had less luck using the Mozilla browser, and zip with Apple's Safari browser. Nada. Don't even type the URL. Cut and paste if you must see for yourself.

Also doesn't work with Mac's running Netscape!

Lots of ideas. I haven't tested them. But he gives specific advice for people using Mac OS 9.

I found one OS 9 application that almost does the trick.
iCab is a Mozilla creature that has a cute little animated cab and gives you smileys to let you know if a page is importing properly or all bunged up.
Couldn't really intelligently create a character (though check out shith on the Testing legend to see what I came up with ... I added my 6 points without knowing what attributes he had (except when con maxed out after adding 2) so not for everyone.).
Fun if you like Russian Roulette.

Oi. Mac users.

Tried the icab and it works somewhat. Still pretty buggy, but at least I can somewhat navigate the site. Has a tendency to add windows at random times when scrolling through posts, but it is better than sitting around watching the eye doing nothing.
